Hasiru Sagu or green sagu

Since today is rajyotsava, I thought of posting an authentic kannadiga curry. It is called as hasiru (green) sagu. Even though I have been making this curry for a long time now, I perfected this only a few days back. Earlier, inspite of all the right ingredients, the sagu never tasted "right". Finally, when I was talking to my mother the other day, I casually asked her for the recipe. After giving out all the ingredients, she mentioned that the gravy should not be boiled or cooked too much. She went on to mention that any dish that contained Dalia looses it's flavour if cooked for a long time. No wonder, my sagu was tasting funny despite the rich ingredients. I guess it is always, mothers who come to the rescue.
This dish,  uses very simple ingredients and it is a breeze to cook. And to top it all, it tastes divine with almost any kind of bread or dosa or rice. However, the ideal combo for this sagu is poori. This combination is a match made in heaven.
