Bella anna or jaggery rice is served as a prasadam (offering) in Banashankari temple. Since the goddess is also called as Gudanna preetamanasa (one who likes jaggery rice), I thought I would make this dish for naivedya today. The rice is very simple to prepare. And the preparation is a breeze. It takes only a handful of ingredients and the taste is just divine. Try this dish and it will be liked by adults and kids alike.
Bella anna or Jaggery rice recipe:
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 15mins
Serves- 2
Ingredients:
Cooked Rice- 1 cup
Jaggery- 3/4th cup
Dry coconut- 1/2 cup
Cardamom- 2 powdered
Ghee- 1tbspn
Cloves-2
raisins and cashewnuts
Method:
- In a thick bottomed pan, heat a cup of water. When the water begins to boil, add the jaggery stir till it melts.
- Add the cooked rice, ghee, jaggery, cardamom and cloves.
- Stir till the mixture thickens.
- Take off the heat and garnish with fried cashew and raisins. Serve hot.

jaggery rice looks very delicious dear ...In my oatmeal rounds post u asked , can we replace egg with ??s i think, u can try ripe banana or apple sauce of egg ...basically egg used for binding so u can try any one option ...hope this information will be helpful for u
